Crestron takes to ISE 2019 to debut a replacement of the Pyng home automation system-- the OS 3-powered Crestron Home, a package designed for any sized smart home project promising a simpler user experience on both mobile devices and TSW touchscreens.

Available in Spring 2019, OS 3 offers new page designs, room controls and icons. Crestron says installers can set up and deploy complete projects on any scale in a fraction of the time required for traditional methods, with no programming required. The system features responsive, smooth performance, with support for multiple homes. Installers can easily create and edit scenes, while new icons provide custom access and experience.

The refined layout provides easy access to commonly used functions, and customers can personalise the UI using photos to represent different room. Communications are secured to through enforced end-to-end encryption, and one can register homeowners and guests remotely via custom URL. At ISE Crestron also demonstrated how installers can integrate the the system Apple TV, Siri and HomeKit, enabling IP control of Apple TV, including voice commands, via the TSR-310 touchscreen remote control, and support in the Crestron Home operating system and Crestron SIMPL.
