McIntosh announces the MTI100-- an integrated turntable designed as a complete home audio system with a built-in amplifier, DAC, digital inputs and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity.
Capable of both vinyl playback and music streaming, the only addition the MTI100 requires is a set of speakers. The belt-drive turntable plays both 33-1/3 and 45 rpm records, and features a machined-aluminium platter and matching machine-aluminium tonearm sitting on top of a 9.5mm glass and custom 6.35mm metal plate. The included cartridge is a Sumiko Olympia moving magnet complete with upgraded stylus and cantilever assembly.
The power amplifer is rated at 50W per channel into 8 homs, and features a vacuum tube preamp, unbalanced auxiliary input, digital audio coax and optical inputs, subwoofer output and a headphone jack. Two 12AX7 vacuum tubes power the main preamplifier section, while a separate dedicated phono preamplifier resides in a custom shielding box.
The MTI100 ships in European markets from March 2019.
