BenQ announces the HT8060 and HT9060 CinePro 4K UHD HDR home cinema projectors, both leveraging a new DLP chipset and BenQ CinematicColor technology to deliver true 4K (3840 x 2160) HDR with authentic cinematic reproduction.
The two projectors are THX-certified, and include CinematicColor and Rec.709 colour gamut. BenQ provides a factory calibration report to ensure the projector was tested and adjusted for precise D65 colour temperature, gamma, black level, white level, neutral gray, RGBCMY colour tracking, hue, saturation, brightness and output from different interfaces as based on ITU-R Rec.709.
In addition, the combination of CinematicColour with the Philips ColorSpark HLD LED system allows the projector to reach the DCI-P3 colour space of the American film industry. Meanwhile an optional Panamorph Paladin anamorphic lens delivers the immersive 2.4:1 aspect ratio of commercial cinemas without need for letterboxing.
CinePro series projectors are also certified by the Imaging Science FOundations's ISFccc Certified Visual Calibration. Installers can customise the image and colour performance of the projectors for any space, as well as choose from preset light balance modes for night and day use.
