URC launches the MXHP-R700-- a programmable wifi handheld remote for the MX HomePro system featuring a 2-inch LCD with custom onscreen menus within an ergonomic design complete with backlit keypad.
The R700 also includes an intuitive layout and finger grooves, making it ideal for entertainment and smart home control, and the LCD can display live video from compatible security cameras paired with the URC Z-Wave gateway. The package includes a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, charging cradle and onscreen battery indicator, and URC claims a full charge allows for 3-4 days of normal use.
URC also announces the expansion of MX HomePro system control to 8 zones together with an Sonos 2-way module-- a means for simple and reliable control as part of an integrated MX HomePro system. The module allows volume control, Sonos player grouping, access to Sonos favourites and advanced automation. A "Works with Sonos" badge attests to the quality of the certified integration.
The cloud-based MX HomePro system delivers whole-house entertainment and smart home control, including robust integration with 1000s of Z-Wave devices. The system integrates with Amazon Alexa, Heos, Honeywell, Lutron, Nest, Philips Hue, Roku and Sonos products, and is sold exclusively through the custom install channel.
