RTI announces the acquisition of the video-over-IP distribution solution from Miravue, bolstering its efforts to provide dealers with a comprehensive, end-to-end solution.
As a result, RTI now offers the RTI Miravue VIP-1-- a video-over-IP system for scalable AV distribution over ethernet, coax and wireless networking. The VIP-1 acts as a transmitter, receiver, network switch and wireless access point, lowering AV distribution costs by reducing cabling and installation time.
The unit supports HDMI/HDCP 1.x and 2.x video sources with ultra-low latency, and also allows the viewing of non-HDMI sources, such as mobile devices, IP camera streams and network-attached storage, without additional equipment. A built-in scaler matches the maximum resolution of the display, while automatically providing stereo downmixing and lip-sync adjustment.
The video-over-IP system also acts as an extension fo the RTI control ecosystem. When combined with an XP processor, it delivers IR and two-way RS-232 control to connected devices for control via any RTI interface.
