BenQ Intros Affordable CineHome HT2550 Projector

BenQ launches an entry-level 4K UHD projector-- the CineHome HT2550, a single-chip DLP number promising to hit 96% Rec 709 colour gamut, together with native 3840 x 2160 resolution.

BenQ HT2550The projector uses 0.47-inch single-DMD-chip DLP technology together with BenQ CinematicColor technology and an RGBRGB colour wheel to hit 96% coverage of Rec. 709 colour gamut. In total it can push 8.3 million distinctive pixels, with 2200 ANSI lumens brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio.

Also included are HDR10 capabilities with auto image optimisation, motion-adaptive edge pixel enhancement, sophisticated colour algorithms, accurate flesh tone rendition and proprietary CinemaMaster Video+ and CinemaMaster Audio+2 technologies and HDCP 2.2 compliance. To help with installation auto keystone correction and 1.2X zoom are integrated, while connectivity comes through x2 HDMI, VGA, RS232, USB-A and USB-mini ports, together with audio-in and out jacks and a 12V trigger.

The HT2550 ships from January 2018.
