Samsung reveals its 2016 SUHD TV lineup at CES, with models featuring cadmium-free 10-bit quantum dot displays, bezel-less curved designs and IoT hub technology turning the TV into a smart home controller.

Samsung SUHDThe TVs promise a "premium" HDR experience, with 1000 nit HDR minimum for higher contrast levels and Ultra Black technology reducing light reflection. One of the TVs is the KS9500 SUHD TV, a first bezel-less curved TV from the company with a design eliminating all unnecessary elements, down to and including the screws from the rear.

All TVs run on a Tizen-based OS and feature Smart Hub, a single place providing access to all favourite user content. Control comes through a Smart Control remote able automatically recogonise STBs, game consoles or home theatre systems, while Playstation Now functionality allows for console-less game streaming.

As mentioned earlier the TVs also act as a SmartThings home automation hub, allowing control over 200 compatible devices.

In addition CES 2016 sees Samsung announce a first UHD Blu-ray player-- the UBD-K8500, an HDR-compatible player featuring built-in upscaling technology to enhance the image quality of standard Blu-ray discs and DVDs.
