LG plans to reveal 4 OLED TVs at IFA 2015, including 65- and 55-inch 4K high dynamic range (HDR)-compliant sets (models 65/55EF9500 and 55EG9200) and a curved OLED TV (model 55EG9100).
Also on show are the first flat 4K resolution OLED displays from the company-- the EF9500 units-- bringing the total of 2015 LG OLED TVs to 9 models covering a range of resolutions and frame types.
The premium 55EG9200 and 55EG9100 promise to be extra-thin, being 4.8mm thick at the slimmest point. Bezels also promise to be "razor-thin," while a transparent stand reduces clutter around the screen.
All LG 4K OLED TVs feature webOS 2.0 as smart TV platform, as well as audio via Harman/Kardon speakers.
“Anyone who sees our newest TVs at this year’s IFA will walk away without a shred of doubt that HDR and OLED complement each other perfectly,” the company says. “Our expanded 4K OLED TV lineup will demonstrate to consumers that OLED is here to stay and that LG is committed to leading the next generation TV market.”
The above mentioned TVs will first hit UK and Germany September 2015 before eventual rollout across other European markets over the next few months.
