Hisense, TCL Unveil Roku TVs

  • PDF

Roku joins TCL and Hisense to announce the availability of Roku TVs-- essentially a selection of Roku-branded HDTVs preloaded with the Roku smart TV platform, eliminating the need for an external STB.

Roku TVTCL will offer 4 Roku TVs, as does Hisense in its H4 Roku TV series, in sizes ranging from 32- to 55-inch. All include standard features such as multiple HDMI ports and wifi connectivity, with the streamlined Roku UI acting as OS.

Users can navigate the interface using either the Roku remote or mobile device apps.

Roku first announced the initiative back at CES 2014, where it said a total of 6 companies are to start making Roku TVs.

The TCL and Hisense Roku TVs are available now in the US, but no word is as yet available on a possible European launch.
