DVDO announces the iScan Mini, a video enhancement system the company claims "significantly improves" the picture quality of standard and high definition content.
It features VRS ClearView technology with a "studio-grade" 4K UHD adaptive scaling engine, as well as other noise reduction and picture enhancement technologies. The scaling engine processes video and graphics content independently, and a built-in demo mode allows side-by-side "before and after" comparisons.
Installers also get a full set of setup tools for professional display adjustment.
“While the 4K TV market is experiencing steady growth, native 4K content is still hard to come by,” DVDO says. “iScan Mini’s scaling and enhancement technologies enables consumers to enjoy cinema-quality video on their 4K Ultra HD or full HD TV by bringing out details and nuances not visible in the original content.”
One can install the iScan Mini behind existing AV receivers or wall-mounted TVs, and can use it as either a stand-alone device or a companion device to video processors or switchers.
