Hisense Launches Android TVs

  • PDF

Hisense announces a pair of Android-powered products-- the H6 Smart TV and the Pulse Pro STB, both promising the latest Google services for TV (aka Google TV) running on version 4.2.2 of the operating system.

Hisense TVAs well as Google services and apps for services such as Netflix, Vudu, Amazon and YouTue, the devices also come pre-loaded with the Hisense Social TV app and cloud services player and receiver.

The H6 ships in 40-, 50- and 55-inch sizes and is powered by a Marvell Armada 1500 Plus (88DE3108) processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The display features a 120Hz refresh rate and is Energy Star 6.0 qualified.

Meanwhile the Pulse Pro carries a Marvell BG2-CT board with 1GB RAM and 4GB storage, as well as connectivity via HDMI, IR, DLNA, wifi, ethernet, Bluetooth and USB.

The two devices get control via what Hisense calls an "incredibly simplified" remote control with built-in "air mouse" functionality. The remote also features 30 keys, IQQI smart input and voice search with built-in microphone.

All sounds interesting enough, although Hisense gives no mention of European availability for either TVs or STB as yet.
