Global Cache launches an industry first at CES 2013-- the iTach Flex, a smart multi-functional end-point able to instantly connect nearly any electronic device to either wifi or TCP/IP networks.
Once connected to a device,the Flex allows for automation with event and task triggers (saved on built-in 4MB flash storage) and web browser access control from network.
Installation and setup promises to be fairly easy via the cloud-based Global Cache IR database.
Within a small package the Flex bridges products and systems through wifi and network connections, as well as a 3.5mm jack supporting most protocols via built-in HTTP support and Flex Link cable.
Flex Link cables come with the usual connectors (RS-232, IR, contact closure), with four varieties of IR cable (emitter, blaster, tri-port and one with 3 emitters and 1 blaster) and male or female RS-232 connectors.
The Flex aready impressed at cES 2013, being an Innovation Award honoree at the show.
