Japanese TV maker Doshisha presents an alternative to the ultra-thin TVs of today-- the Vintage Taste set features pleasingly chunky retro stylings, even if it packs a modern 20-inch LCD panel.
In fact the Vintage Taste features all connectivity options expected from a TV on the contemporary market, including USB and HDMI ports, LAN, AV and digital audio outputs. However the housing comes straight from the 1960's, with mahogany-red wood and off-white plastic construction, not to mention functional volume and channel switching knobs complete with satisfying ka-chunk sounds. Oh, and it sits on four-stilted legs.
Amusingly, since as mentioned earlier the TV is a modern LCD number, the housing meant for a cathode ray tube doubles as a storage space-- one can open the top to house other electronics, such as a DVD player or games console, or maybe hide a bottle of booze.
