IKEA is the next company to take on wireless audio with ENEBY, a line of Bluetooth speakers featuring a minimalist fabric-covered design typical of the Swedish furniture maker.

ENEBY speakers come in two sizes, 20 x 20cm or 30 x 30cm. Both come covered in either black or gray polyester fabric on top of white or black plastic, and the smaller version includes a handle. Making the smaller model even more portable is an optional battery pack adding up to 10 hours of cord-free use.

Denon announces an update of the HomeCinema HS soundbar-- the (un)suprisingly titled HomeCinema HS2, a soundbar and subwoofer package customers can connect with 4K-capable TVs and media players.

The soundbar carries two 5x13cm drivers to handle upper bass and midrange, and a pair of 20mm dome tweeters for the high frequencies. Connectivity comes through HDMI input and output with ARC TV channel capable of passing UHD 4K content through, together with optical and coax inputs, aux-in port and USB input for external storage devices.

Leema Acoustics announces an addition to the compact Elements range-- the Elements Streamer, an audio offering featuring the same module found in the Quasar streaming amplifier/DAC, as well as an ESS Sabre DAC.

The Elements Streamer has built-in support for a number of music services, including Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz and vTuner radio. Spotify Connect support is also included, as well playback of files from Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive and devices connected via either USB or network such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, PCs, NAS drives and music servers.

British hi-fi maker Cambridge Audio celebrates its 50th anniversary with the release of the Edge series-- a flagship hi-fi range created following a "listen first, measure second" philosophy.

The Edge series is named after Cambridge Audio co-founder professor Gordon Edge, the inventor of the P40 integrated amplifier. It consists of 3 units, namely the Edge A integrated amplifier; Edge NQ preamplifier and network player and Edge W power amplifier. The result of 3 years of development, the series is built out of components chosen through blind listening tests, not specs or measurements.

Cambridge says it kept signal paths as short as possible-- for instance, the Edge W amplifier has just 14 components, with a DC coupled topology replacing capacitors in order to reduce distortion. The amp also features Class XA amplification with the crossover point shifted out of audible range, leading to more efficient performance than Class A. Meanwhile an opposing symmetry twin toroidal transformer design cancels stray electromagnetic interference. Power output clocks at 100W RMS into 8 Ohms for both Edge A and Edge W.
