Optoma announces what it claims is the first projector with DARBEE Visual Presence image enhancement-- the HD28DSE, a 1920x180 resolution number featuring 3000 lumens brightness and 30000:1 contrast ratio.
According to the company DARBEE Visual Presence technology uses "neuro-biologic" algorithms to enhance the detail and depth of skin tones, textures and reflective surfaces, bringing about "amazing image clarity."
The projector is 3D-ready, and has 2 HDMI inputs for easy connection with media sources. MHL connectivity allows the sharing of content from compatible devices (such as the Optoma HDCast PRo, Roku streaming stick and mobile devices), while a powered USB output handles media devices requiring USB or AC power.
Optoma says lamp life reaches up to 8000 hours when in dynamic mode. Audio comes through either built-in 10W speaker or audio output.
