American hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan recently made the news by producing the most expensive album ever made-- but few reports mention the album comes complete with a pair of bespoke speakers from British audio maker PMC.
A mystery collector paid an undisclosed sum reaching the millions for the album, a strict one-off with no other physical or digital duplicates in existence. Titled "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin," it was sold on the condition no content or artwork will be released to the rest of the world for a period of 88 years.
In order to enjoy to be enjoyed the way the Wu Tang Clan intended the album includes the aforementioned pair of hand-built MB2-XBD studio speakers. Each unit is 1.8m tall, carries two 12-inch diameter woofers and pushes 2000W of power, allowing the listener to "experience the audio exactly as its producers intended."
