Klipsch announces the Forte III loudspeaker-- a member of the Klipsch Heritage series featuring "updated cosmetics and the latest advancements in acoustic engineering."

Forte IIIThe 3-way speaker combines a 12-winch woofer and a horn-loaded midrange and tweeter, together with a 15-inch rear-mounted passive radiator. Also included are state of the art titanium compression drivers. The midrange horn incorporates a modified Tractrix design with patented Mumps technology, improving coverage and control of the key mid-frequency band.

Tivoli Celebrates Summer With Transparent PAL BT

The Retail Opportunity in Multi-Room Audio

Smart and networked multi-room audio systems represent "huge opportunities" for home theatre vendors, Persistence Market Research reports-- driving a global home theatre audio market worth $10 billion in 2017.

Wireless audioSuch growth should be sustainable, as the analyst forecasts the market will register a 5% CAGR through 2025, with sales reaching "nearly" $15bn by the end of the forecast period. One growth driver, particularly in N. America, is systems with wireless capabilities such as wifi and Bluetooth, as customers want to integrate audio systems with their mobile and wearable devices.

Another growth driver is low-range home theatre audio systems, as based on price range. Premium systems will register the fastest growth, while sales revenues from mid-range systems will remain "comparatively higher" compared to premium systems. As for sales channels, unorganised retail stores are the "most lucrative," expanding at the highest CAGR through 2025 and accounting for revenues worth $6bn by end 2025.

Porsche Design presents a wireless speaker ideal for aficionados of all things Porsche-- the 911 Speaker, a Bluetooth-enabled device built within the exhaust port of the Porsche 911 GT3.

911 SpeakerThe Porsche 911 GT3 features a distinctive pair of exhaust ports wrapped in a rounded, trapezoidal housing. As one might expect, the 911 Speaker features the same aesthetic, only the exhaust ports push the audio of the user's choice, instead of the roar of an H-6 engine.

It offers 60W output and 24 hours of battery life, together with aptX Bluetooth support and construction in "Porsche-grade" aluminium. Customers can also pair two 911 Speakers to create a stereo setup, or use them in Party mode with the speakers playing the same music in separate rooms.

Riva Audio Ships WAND Wireless Speakers

Riva Audio announces the release of WAND (Wireless Audio Network Design), a wireless speaker series the company says allows customers to play audio inside or outside the house wirelessly, from either a network or online source.

Riva WANDFirst announced back at CEDIA 2016, WAND speakers come in either compact Arena or full-range Festival flavours. All feature the company's Trillium technology, using DSP to take an incoming stereo signal and output it in 3 channels to an array of drivers on the front and side, creating a wide stereo image from a single box. The speakers can handle high-resolution audio, and can stream content from Spotify Connect, built-in Chromecast and Google Home.

Inside the Arena are 3 full-range custom ADX drivers with 3 passive radiators to produce up to 101dB. Meanwhile the Festival speaker incorporates an interior MDF cabinet to reduce vibrations and colorations. Inside are 6 custom ADX woofers and tweeters paired with 4 passive radiators for up to 106dB of output without dynamic range compression. Bass plays down to 38Hz.
