Q Acoustics launches the 3000i series-- a selection of stereo and home cinema speakers featuring a combination of stand-mount, floorstanding and centre channel models.
An upgrade of the 3000 series, the 3000i range offers five models. All promise a significant upgrade over their predecessors, with taller and deeper designs allowing enhanced bass response. Tweeters are decoupled using a suspension system, and the mid-bass woofer sits in a rubber surround to provide better imaging and stereo presentation.
The smallest model is the 3010i, a bookshelf speaker with a 22mm tweeter and 100mm mid-bass woofer aimed at smaller music systems. Following it is the 3020i with a bigger 125mm woofer, and the floor-standing 3050i carrying two 165mm woofer using P2P (Point to Point) bracing originally designed for the Concept 500 speaker. It also uses bespoke HPE (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser) tubes to reduce the influence of standing waves within the cabinet.
For multichannel systems, the range offers the 3090i-- a centre channel speaker with two 100mm woofers and a 22mm tweeter, and the slimline 3060S active subwoofer featuring a 200mm driver and 150W amplifier. The 3090i is the same width as AV components, allowing customers to slot it into AV furniture, while the 3060s is wall-mountable.
All the above mentioned speakers are available from May 2018 in English Walnut, Graphite Grey, Carbon Black or Arctic White finishes.
