NAD announces a pair of additions to the flagship Master series at the Munich High End show-- the M32 direct digital stereo amplifier and the M50.2 high-resolution digital music player.

NAD M32Described by the company as "a true digital amp, not just Class D," the M32 delivers 2 x 150W of power. It features a modular design architecture with x4 MDC (Modular Design Construction) slots, 3 of which are available for customisation and upgrades.

An optional BluOS module allows streaming to other BluOS sound systems, providing support for local NAS drives and online streaming services such as Spotify and Tidal.

Inputs include AES/EBU, optical and digital coax audio, USB A and B, and MM Phono input. Further features come in the shape of a high performance headphone amplifier, twin speaker outputs for biwiring and a subwoofer out with a configurable digital crossover.

Meanwhile the M50.2 player combines the functionality of the company's M50 and M52 in a single device. As such, it only offers digital outputs (including AES/EBU and HDMI) and needs pairing with a DAC or digital preamp such as the NAD M12 or M17.

It is compatible with BluOS systems and can rip CDs for 24-bit/192kHz storage on a pair of 2TB HDDs (in a RAID array). Connectivity comes through ethernet, wifi and Bluetooth aptX, and the player handles digital music in FLAC, ALAC, MP3, WMA, AAC and OGG formats as well as real time CD playback. External control comes through RS-232.
