Audeze launches the EL-8 Titanium-- a closed-back variant on the EL-8 headphones seen back at CES 2015 featuring an integrated Lightning cable for use with the latest Apple devices.
According to the company, the Lightning cable carries both audio signals and power to the headphones. Dubbed "Cypher Cable," it features a 24-bit digital signal processor, digital-to-analog converter and amplifier, as well as a built-in microphone for phone calls and Siri commands.
Obviously the Lightning cable is Apple-exclusive, but Audeze also offers balanced cables for plugging into traditional 3.5mm outputs.
Meanwhile the headphones offer large 100mm planar magnetic drivers, as driven by "Fluxor Magnetic" technology, nano-scale diaphragms and advanced voice coil technology. Maximum power reaches 15W with 10Hz-50kHz frequency response.
The Audeze EL-8 Titanium headphones are available now.
