Harman's JBL Synthesis announces a strategic partership with Trinnov Audio at CEDIA 2015-- one providing JBL Synthesis with access to the Trinnov immersive audio technology portfolio.

JBL SDP-75Such technologies include formats such as Dolby Atmos, DTS-X and Auro 3D. The formats and the aforementioned Trinnov technologies find use in the JBL Synthesis SDP-75, a sound system processor based on the Trinnov Altitude32 platform. Available in 16- and 32-channel versions, the SDP-75 is a configurable surround processor/preamplifier compatible with Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD formats, with full support for all major 3D audio codecs and upmixers, 4K UHD video and HDMI 2.0.

Another product is the SDEC-5500-- a companion digital equaliser adding Adaptive Room Correction and Optimisation System (ARCOS) calibration and Harman BLU link connectivity to the SDP-75.

"Our partnership with Trinnov expands the capability of JBL Synthesis to provide complete custom-installation solutions that are created to deliver an unrivaled home entertainment experience," Harman says. "Trinnov is the market leader in 3D audio processing and provides us with the ability to bring a new generation of luxury home theater that achieves ultimate performance and sustainability where changes in technology are constant."

The JBL Synthesis SDP-75 will be available sometime during H1 2016.
