Logitech's Ultimate Ears announces the Boom 2-- a sequel to the popular Boom Bluetooth speaker featuring louder (by 25%, apparently) sound, longer wireless range and a completely waterproof design.

According to the company the Boom 2 has an IPX 7 rating, is drop-proof from up to 1.5m and has 30m wireless range. The battery also promises improvement, as it powers up to 15 hours of use on a single charge.

Form factor remains identical to the original, being a cylindrical speaker pushing 360-sound. Customers can pair two Boom 2 speakers for stereo sound via companion app, as well as turn the speaker on remotely through the phone or use it as a musical alarm.

The UE Boom is available in 6 different colour styles-- "Cherrybomb," "Yeti," "Phantom," "GreenMachine," "Tropical" and "BrainFreeze."
