Luxul announces the Epic 4 routers-- a range of commercial-grade routers the company says is optimised for smart homes, as well as SMB and retail applications.
The routers feature integration with 3rd party embedded software, including content filtering from Router Limits and a remote management tool from Domotz. Further applications will be available in the near future, such as Ihiji remote network management tools and Luxul Roam-Assist wireless controller technology. Installers can implement any of these advanced features as required.
ELAN debuts a line of HDMI products at ISE 2017, including matrix switchers, HDBaseT receivers and transmitters, a VoIP receiver and transmitter, and a VoIP control module.
The DSL-AC88U supports the G.fast standard, as well as ADSL, ADSL2/2 and VDSL2 services. It promises broadband speeds of up to 18x faster than VDSL2 services allow, and also connects to the internet via regular ethenet. Meanwhile NitroQAM (1024-QAM) technology enables wifi data rates of up to 2167Mbps on the 5GHz band and 1000Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, for concurrent bandwidth of up to 3167Mbps.
The EXT-DP-4K600-1SC extends HDCP 2.2, HDCP 1.4 and DPCP compliant DisplayPort 600MHz 4K audio/video over fibre. It supports WQUXGA (3840×2400), 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160), and 4K Cinema — DCI (4096×2160), up to 60 Hz frame rate and 4:4:4 Chroma sub-sampling. The AV signal is extended up to 200m, over a single strand of SC-terminated 50/125µm OM3 or better multi-mode fibre-optic cable.
The N2400 series devices support 4K video at 60Hz and 4:4:4 (8-bit colour) through JPEG encoding, and deliver content at native frame rates and colour space with just two frames of latency. HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 support provides compatibility with all current 4K sources and displays.
The new product line delivers 4K/60 4:4:4 HDR video distribution over IP, with zero frame latency and the convenience of a centralised 10GbE switch. The chassis is designed for ease of installation, while audio down-mixing capabilities and audio breakout options make it an ideal match with the recently released Savant Pro Audio 4 IP-based switch with unlimited audio zone support and access to all popular streaming services.
The two matrix products are compliant with the bandwidth of the HDMI 2.0a specification and support all 4K timings and Chroma subsampling formats, as well as features such as HDR and all aspects of Rec 2020. Both incorporate analog and digital audio breakouts to de-multiplex the audio stream from each HDMI output, allowing the connection of isolated audio content to external amplifiers and music distribution systems.
